Tagged

I got tagged by Lindsay, and it's a multi tag. Hope it is somewhat interesting I think it is pretty random.

A. The rules of the game are posted at the beginning.
B. Each player answers the question about themselves.
C. At the end of the post, the player then tags 5 other people and posts their names and leaves a message on their blog letting them know they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog to get the directions.

Tag #1/2

1. What was I doing 10 years ago:
I probably had my high school graduation on my mind; dress, shoes, hair, date, you know I’m sure we spent too much time anticipating this “big day” I was about to go to Mexico so I could return with a “real tan” for grad no fake and bake. It was all about Graduation, not worried about the school part of it. I was also enjoying my oldest brother Ryans humor, teasing and wisdom, who lived at home at the time before he passed away just after my grad.

2. 5 things on my to-do list today:
*My 1 hour workout with Jari Love I am loving the Get Ripped DVD’s got the 4 pack from Costco they are all the rage for right now anyway (thanks to Lindsay who told me about them)
Try to get Sadie to nap twice today.
Shower & actually get ready today -I’m leaving the house & will be seeing people I know
Try to plan some meals & hopefully make them.
Call our house inspector

What snacks do I enjoy:
lately I enjoy snacking way too much, I have been limited in my selection dictated by the lack of food in the house
but chocolate in any form, cheese, toast, popcorn, ice cream. If I am feeling healthy Fruit

4. What would I do if I were suddenly a billionaire:
Can you tell we are students of course pay off loans, house, practical stuff. THEN have some fun like go on trips invite friends and family oh and don’t worry we’ll pick up the tab. Then use the money to do some good. build some homes, for those lost in diasasters

5. 3 bad habits:
1. spending time on computer (it can be a big time waster for me)
2. procrastinating only some things
3. I am drawing blank I know i have many more

6. 5 places I've lived:
I have never been opposed to living different places but so far I haven’t
1.Raymond
2. Edmonton
3 Calgary (soon)
4. wishful New York would be so fun just for a very short time
I used to want to pick up and go live near a beach (California) you know with my girlfriends like the movies

5 jobs I've had:
way too many
1. Teacher
2.City of Edmonton employee Rec Tech (playground leader)
3. Town of Raymond Parks & Rec Crew
4. Superstore in Garden Center
5. receptionist at hair Salon (this was very short lived)

8. 5 things people don't know about me:

1. I hate peanut butter (the smell the taste everything) BUT in high school I wanted to apologize to my friend who loved peanut butter cookies so I made her a batch, thats how bad I felt.

2. I tried to get fired from a job once and was successful. Way more fun than just quitting.

3.I worked at Subway for 1 day my friend and I got hired got the uniforms a day of training and then called the next day and said we wouldn’t be making it in ever.

4. My friend & I got a job as telephone surveyors (NOT telemarketers) we were so excited after the interview and were waiting at the bus stop singing “I got a job I got a hey hey hey” “Who got a job I got a job” Then who walks by our brand new boss. Classic

5. I once pretended I was pregnant in high school seemed funny at the time. It was just for one night and I think we had the girl going.
(that turned into some job reminiscing)

8 Things about myself that you may not know...

1. My parents called me Susie Angel when I was little probably because I was the fourth after 3 boys. (maybe the hair too)

2. Before I was married I had the nickname SAS (my initials) a select few still call me this sometimes I kinda like it.

3. I fall asleep in movies all the time. In the theatres or at home, but since Sadie I don’t as much weird I think I’m more sleep deprived now

4. I was accused of cheating in gr. 9 and I didn’t so I denied it to the bitter end and my teacher still didn’t believe me. Honestly it was a spelling test.

5. I almost never dry dishes. First if it fits in the dishwasher it goes in, then I only wash the ones I have to & pile them out to air dry.

6. I walk out to get the mail almost everyday, even in the winter just to get out with or without Sadie.

7.I am so very forgetful I need to exercise my mind and memory way more.

8.I can be a push over its good and bad. Sometimes i can be convinced (without much convincing) to do a lot of different things

Now I tag...Shannan, Michelle, Mindi, Alysha & Whitney Do whatever you want! Put stuff in take stuff out, I don't care! But you better do it..

This is because Lindsay tagged me here she is getting into the water.. what an ordeal ... of course we love her for it. Like she loves me sharing this photo
And what is a post without a picture of Sadie.

Alrighty

How was your Monday? I've been meaning to put up a new post but haven't gotten around to it. Doesn't seem like too much happening. But, then I thought about it.... So here goes A LIST
YEAH

1. We bought a house in Calgary. We love it. We are so glad we don't have to look anymore and make anymore trips down there. Part of me can't wait to move into it. Part of me will be a little sad to leave Edmonton.

2. Sadie is 5 months old.

3. My momma is coming to visit soon. Sadie & I are both pretty excited. Sometimes it doesn't take much in our little world. I think its been way too long. Granny B would agree

4. Sadie is going to bed earlier. I have been waiting for this day to come when I wouldn't stay up till 10:00 entertaining her. She did it twice last week. Hope I didn't just jinx myself.

5. Friends. So great to have great friends old & new. Had fun doing stuff with my friend Abby lately. We know each other so good, I love it. She took care of Sadie at church, she claims Sadie was good but I'm pretty sure she gave Abby a work out.
Its not our best pic but here is a picture of us way back our "college years" ha ha If only I had some of risque pictures.

6. Husband who works so hard at school and to make sure we are taken care of. We enjoyed our last reading week together just hanging out the 3 of us.
So hard for Ryan to get work down at home he is very easily distracted by his little girl.

7. Stress free Sundays. When I was working Sunday nights I was always like ahhhh am I ready for the work week and now it is so relaxing no worries! Gotta love that. I just take each day as it comes .. no planning ( not like I used to anyway)

So here is what I have been doing each month Sadie gets older. I think what started out as a good idea might end pretty soon. As you can see 1 month very easy, now at 5 months she is not such a cooperative poser. I guess if I would of thought about it I should have known that. I think I can really see her growing when I just let her do her thing and play anyway.
And yes she is just as bald as ever, some days I think oh yes she is getting some hair, but that is just a wishful thinking mom.

I just found this old gem of a picture. This should be good for a few laughs. Can you believe how happy we all look.

Loves of my Life

Last Valentines I had 1 love in my life & was loving just him.
Ok so this wasn't us last Valentines but I thought it was a romantic sunset picture.

This year I have 2 loves in my life & couldn't be happier.

We had such a fun little Valentines Day. Lindsay came over with her little kiddies which is always entertaining & fun. Alli cracks me up she kept saying "true love, first kiss" she loves her mommy & loved helping in the kitchen it was a "ton of work" says Alli. We made way too many sugar cookies, hmm correction I ate way too many but they were just so yummy.

I also took way too many pictures. But I don't think I have heard any mom say ohh I wish I didn't take so many pictures of my baby. I have to say Sadie is getting to be more and more fun every day... but after the smiles and tickles the next best thing is dressing her up usually followed by snapping a few pics of my little sweetheart. So Valentines is just a great excuse right?!

It was fun to have Jaime over with baby Brody he is such a good baby. I won't lie I am a bit jealous Brody sleeps through the night seriously I hardly remember what that is like. But every baby has its perks. Oh and stay tuned soon we will see more of Brody on Jaime's blog I'm sure by the end of the month she'll have it up and running. Can't wait Jaime

And here is Sadie in her sweet little bath .....ahhhh isn't that the best way to end a perfect day.

I really never get too excited for Valentines Day as far as expecting Ryan to do something but so far he has not disappointed. He suprised me with a cute little dress ... how great is that! We spent the night together and stayed up way too late but thats just what you do sometimes. MMMmmmhhhh I hope everyone had a great day with the people you love the most!

whipped

Part of me hopes this is not of a sign of things to come. On one hand it is adorable to watch these two, on the other hand he will give her anything she wants.

This is during the superbowl Ryan thought it was funny how hard she would pull his hair... I thought it was funny how long he let her do it.

Happy Thursday!!I'm trying not to think too much about the weather, but I really can't hardly wait for some decent temps we'd love to get out!

A glimpse at mommies

I am new to the adventures of being a MOM so I decided to share a little glimpse of me so far and want to hear a little about everyone elses mommy lives. I hope I'm not breaking any blog rules/etiquette by making this up myself, but someone has to be "it" first with all these little tag games.

Typical time of wake-up: usually 8:00ish I am still up a few times a night with Sadie too, incase you were wondering

On a good night when you/kids go to sleep: Sadie usually 10:30ish, me depends on the day bout 11:30ish

How long you have been a momma: 4 months 11days feels longer... in a good way

How many times have you been a new mom: 1 Loved it!

How old were you when you became a mom (is this to personal?): 27

Favorite Kids show: hmm I'll be holding out as long as I can, I thought Sesame Street was good
back in the day.

Least Favorite Kids show: I don't know if they even still exist but tele tubbies, just weird, whenever is see the lady with pig tails and the big couch I think oh no please I hope I never watch this with my child

Favorite chore: vacuuming -instant results, bathrooms & I really don't mind laundry

Least favorite chore: this means I probably do these the least mopping and dusting

Meal you cook most often: probably chicken wraps

Kids favorite meal: mammas milk

5 things that make you smile when you are being a mom:
Sadie smiling, laughing, sleeping, I won't lie I like it when friends and strangers tell me she is cute, watching Ryan change Sadie it can be laugh out loud funny

Favorite thing your husband does with your kids: talk to her & she jabbers back

Last time you went out with no kids: Lindsay watched Sadie while I rushed to Toys R Us (I wasn't gone long) Sadie & I pretty much never leave each other. I did go to a matinee with her which was still fun.

If you could take your kids anywhere where would it be: Since Sadie is too little it would be mostly for me I would say somewhere warm- like summer 07 in my moms backyard sounds pretty good right now. We are planning on taking a trip at the end of April to the beaches of Mexico Yeah!

Favorite pastime/activity with kids: going on walks with Sadie (can't wait for it to warm up a bit more, Ryan would prefer I walk outside and not the malls ... me too

1 thing you said you would never do when you were a mom: let my baby sleep in bed (I only did it a couple times. I'm sure there will be more

If you had an afternoon to yourself what would you do? Massage Never cared for them before baby but sounds like a bit of heaven right now

1 thing you do that your mom did & now you do: I remember some of the little songs/rhymes she says & now I do, I'm sure there will be more.

Favorite quality of your own mom: happiest person I know

Favorite kids book: I love you forever

Best advice for a new mom: I think I am to new to really give advice but how about you will never really be ready to be a mom, but you will LOVE it most days!

Scariest or most heartbreaking moment as a mom: i guess 1st night in the hospital with Sadie crying & crying eeeek just me & her all alone welcome to motherhood!

Most joyful moment as a mom: Sadie laying on my chest only seconds old AMAZING little miracle

Last time your child told you they love you: the look on her face after her nap today said it all

Last time you said I love you to your kid: I'm thinking it ALL the time haha, after her nap I did.

Now go tell your kids how great they are give them a big hug & kiss! I think you are all the best moms ever, and are doing a heck of a job!

Without getting to sentimental I have the greatest mom if I am half the mom she is I think I'll be doing great thanks Mom. I love that my mom will always be a mom to me. Love you mom

I tag whoever wants to do this or how about whoever hasn't done this. So basically every mom.

Off to watch the superbowl, anyone else?

Here we are posing at the computer
