Really does it have to end?

I don't think there is an ounce of me that wants summer to be over.  I just love it.  This summer has been soo so great!  My kids have had a blast doing whatever.  It has honestly seemed like the nicest summer, it has been filled with hot and sunny days.  I am just putting up a bunch of pictures for the family update.

My kids are at great ages, they are probably equally entertained and satisfied if I set up the backyard to play in, or take them to the spray park, or the lake or drive them to Montana, or wherever. really.  But, it is also so fun to do fun new things with them, they take a little effort or a bit of a drive and I guess I do mind the getaway either.

We went out with Ehlerts to Shushawp and it was beautiful.  Sadie loved swimming in the water with her life jacket of course, and of course boat rides, canoe rides and tube rides with her friends

YW Camp was great!

Sadie gets so excited for a rainy day, we had to go out on a walk in the rain promptly.
Taber Cornfest was full of fun for the kids.

The carnies did not disappoint, this one guy was more entertaining than any Disneyland worker.  Seriously he was high fiving the kids and it was like the marathon ride he kept letting them go longer.  I'm pretty sure Hannah wasn't tall enough, but nobody checks, so I was all for letting her on.  Unfortunately I think she bonked her head round 2 and she got off.  fortunately the carnie George yes, he told me his name, said take her on any ride on me.  Hannah was smiling in about 2 seconds on another ride.

Love evening strolls to the park

poor baby, fell asleep before I had a chance to dress her.

I really do love 2 year olds.  Everything is like an exciting new experience, and so you just want to give them ice cream even though you know full well they;ll be covered.  Its always worth it to me.  Hannah was looking forward to this for like 4 hours, so when she finally got it it was all hers.

It has been such a fun summer, we went to Montana a couple times and thats where Hannah loved swimming she was so brave and fearless.  Riding places in the golf cart is also a big highlight for the kids, to go to the pool or go looking for turtles or basically just riding.  Hannah went out with Ryan for a round of golf and was quite happy about that, and so was Ryan.  Me and the girls spent lots of time at the pool swimming.  Sadie has loved all the little getaways to play especially with friends.

July 1

This will be second time posting this, so I'll be making this short.  I know no one starts blogging in the summer, but I want to I want to keep up on what the kids are up to and and it keeps me snapping pictures.  Anyone else have more pics on their phone than their camera.

July 1st weekend in Raymond gets more fun every year.
Sadie and I did the 2 km race again.  She was excited and loved doing it.  She was defintely slower this year -for the record i don't remember her time it was that obvious.  Ryan is threatening to cut her out of the race next year because she didn't run and its a race.  So he may have to jump in, I'm just too fun and I don't 'push' her enough.
At the beginning they did a big ol balloon launch, which was a big hit.  My mom has been very invovled in the race the last few years, somehow she makes it better every year.  I think she'll stop doing it soon and go back to cheering everyone on, thats what I think she really loves.  I know I did!!
Sadie at the turn around.

Grandpa with all the runners.  Seriously these kids are getting so old and starting to make a lot more silly faces.
Off to Waterton for the rest of the day.  I love love that place.  I have about a million fabulous memories there, and love taking our family there.  We had a feast of a picnic with our families and played by the creek, and lake, the peddle boats and a final stop at the spray park.
Hannah insisted on wearing her suit like the other girls, but Im quite sure she stayed dry.
The July 1st parade truly never disappoints.

Took the girls up to the fair uptown.  Next year I will buy cotton candy and maybe even popcorn in advance and show those lines whos the best mom!  Really the highlight was probably the dancing.  Can't beat live music in downtown Raymond with the cutest little 2 year old dancing it up!

Sadie did stay up for the fireworks.  The other girls were asleep so I asked to sit with her, she denied me, what?  All of the sudden she seemed so old as she sat and watched with her cousins and I sat with an empty lap.  Then Grandpa came and she did sit with him, so I guess shes not too old maybe just too cool for me.

don't get used to it

I kind of miss the ol' blog.  Obviously not enough, cause its been forever.  We have been having fun and keeping so busy, the kind of busy that I pretty much have nothing to show for it, but I am beat at the end of the day.  So here is the mish mash update.  and a whole whack of pictures

When did Kindergarten become so complicated... oh right probably when I lived in the city and realized my kid has 'options'  so of course we had to consider them all.  I'm gonna stop worrying about it and enjoy our summer.  But, I do miss the simple life of you go to school here no choice no questions, you walk, and no one questions
I sure did have a great mothers day.  Spent it with my kids it was honestly perfect, early church, Ryan made lunch, short nap and picnic outside, throwing rocks in the river and getting dirty.  Thanks for spoiling me.  Oh yes and Ryan got me a bike, I can now pull the kids around all summer.  I feel like such a mom.

I appreciate Ryan's effort to get the 'perfect' picture, of me with the kids, but I think this is as good as it gets and I love it.
I don't know what it is getting older, more kids or what.  But I am getting more sentimental and I find myself trying to steal more kisses from my kids daily.  I am so happy to have our perfect little family to be with every day.
Again, I can't get enough of Tali I wanna snuggle her, kiss her cheeks and just bottle up her sweetness.   She is at the cutest age, she sits and plays, eats her fingers and everything she does is just about the cutest thing ever.
Had a big ol celebration for my parents 40th.  It was fun, the worst part is its all over and we all went home.  My kids love being at grandmas and running around and having cousins to play with.
Sadies preschool is all done.  She had a great year with her class of all girls.  Mrs. Hamilton was a great teacher for her.  She sure loved her.  But, we are all excited for the summer schedule.

People think I'm joking, but seriously keeping up with bathing the kids, grooming, trimming toe nails and all that is impossible for me.  Really, somedays the kids get overlooked, but i think more often it is me.  I do like trying to look good, but showering everyday is so out of the question.  I am enjoying more 'off' days and day old make up is ok sometimes, of course i reapply cause that makes it so much better.  I have learned that I will take compliments and not try to interpret them.  Like when Sadies teacher says "oh nice did you get your haircut" I will say yes thank you.  In my head I will say no, but thanks for noticing this may be the first day in over a month you've seen me with my hair done, and the works.  Even if there is a chance you are giving me a pitty compliment I'll just take it.  Or if you like the new hair do I'm sporting that took me 2 seconds and you wanna know how to do it.  I might tell ya, that I saw it in the latest celeb magazine I read yesterday.  But really I haven't hardly taken a minute to watch let alone read any of the latest trends and gossip.
Planning young womens camp, the thought of taking my baby honestly doesn't excite me, but leaving her home isn't really an option and would be a lot to ask of anyone.   thanks to the baby we will not be completely roughing it, I draw the line somewhere. So heres to the cabins we'll be sleeping in.

I do just love summer, its seems like the best time of year.  So much to do, fulling wearing myself and the kids out. daily.
Seriously I married to the best guy, he adores his kids and they him.  I kinda really like him.  He was such a sport he got all the kids on Sunday at church and I got to watch him while I gave a talk.  I may have strategically sat them down near people with no kids, so not to far into church some sweet lady snatched up our baby.  we gave home the best homemade gifts which I think is always best, you know the stuff money can't buy.  But, money can buy a steak dinner so we made that for him.

Well here I'll just toot my own horn.  I decided to make up a little soccer program for Sadie this year.  It was a bit of work but it was worth it for this kid.  We just had our wrap up bbq and all the kids had a blast, and maybe even learned a thing or 2 about soccer.

The kids got to play against their dads.  Sadie loved it, I've never see her chase the ball more. Ryan was a sport and defintely had fun schooling the 4 year old girls.
